It attaches via a slide and zip mechanism to the tent and consists of four walls (back wall with flap for vehicle access) and a heavy duty removable floor (attaches via zip). All openings are mosquito net protected and can be fully closed. Although the extension tent skirt can be used for the same purposes as the standard tent skirt, its key benefit is that it provides additional sleeping space for up to two adults in an enclosed and protected environment. Of course having the roof tent ladder inside the skirt has its merits, in particular in rainy situations. Moreover, entrance and car access openings are vertically offset to create a watertight base and prevent rainwater from flowing into the skirt, e.g. from underneath the car. We also offer optional length extensions to cater for exceptionally high setups.The above features make this product highly popular with families, since the tent skirt in combination with the roof top tent can accommodate up to five persons.
