Buying & setup

Which trailers is a trailer tent suitable for?
Trailer tents can be installed on many common trailers. The most important requirements are a sufficiently large and level load area, suitable payload capacity and stable mounting options. Before buying, compare the dimensions and technical specifications of your trailer with the requirements of the selected trailer tent.
How long does setup take?
Depending on the model, size and accessories being used, a trailer tent can usually be set up within a few minutes. Allow a little more time for the first setup. After some practice, setting up and packing down becomes quick and routine.

Use & care

How many people fit inside?
Depending on the model, trailer tents offer generous space for couples, families or groups. Annexes, additional rooms and other extensions can create extra sleeping areas as well as more living and storage space.
Is a trailer tent weatherproof?
Yes. Robust, water-repellent materials and well-designed seams provide reliable protection against rain and wind. For the best possible protection, the tent should be fully assembled and correctly tensioned. After wet trips, allow the tent to dry completely before storing it.
How should I care for my trailer tent?
Remove coarse dirt from the tent fabric after each trip and allow it to dry completely. Clean the canvas only with water or a suitable specialist cleaning product. Aggressive cleaning products and pressure washers can damage the waterproof treatment and the material. Regularly inspect the zips, poles, guy ropes and pegs for wear.
Does the tent fabric need to be reproofed?
The tent fabric already has a high-quality waterproof treatment. Reproofing is normally only necessary when rainwater no longer beads reliably on the surface. Only use a waterproofing product suitable for canvas fabric and follow the manufacturer's application instructions.
Can the tent be packed away while wet?
In an emergency, the tent can be packed away wet for a short period. However, it should be fully opened again as soon as possible so that all fabrics can dry thoroughly. Storing the tent while damp for an extended period can cause unpleasant odours, mildew or mould.
Can bedding or sleeping bags remain inside the tent?
Depending on the model and available space, bedding or sleeping bags may remain inside the tent during transport. All textiles must be completely dry and the travel cover must be able to close without excessive pressure. Our team will be happy to advise you on what can be permanently stored inside your specific model.

Accessories & equipment

Can the tent poles be stored underneath the travel cover?
Yes. Tent poles, guy ropes, pegs and other standard accessories can be stored underneath the travel cover. This keeps everything compact and secure during transport. Before departure, check that the cover is fully closed and securely fastened.
Can the additional room be stored underneath the travel cover?
Yes, provided there is sufficient space and the additional room is completely dry and clean before being packed away. Damp or heavily soiled fabric should be cleaned and allowed to dry completely before storage to keep the material in good condition.
Can I install more than one additional room?
Yes. Our trailer tents have a modular design. Depending on the model, several compatible additional rooms can be combined to create extra sleeping areas, more living space or additional storage. Check which extensions are compatible with your trailer tent before ordering.
How is the shower room attached?
The shower room has its own frame and is mounted directly to the rear entrance of the trailer tent. This allows it to remain stable independently of the main tent and it can be set up within just a few minutes. The exact attachment method may vary slightly depending on the tent model.
