Bicycle trip around the block|
My wife and I went around Australia in March 2013, I was cycling and she volunteered to be my support. I only needed to cycle 8000km from Cairns to Adelaide, via Darwin/Broome and Perth as I had previously cycled from Brisbane to Cairns and Brisbane to Adelaide; so this would complete my cycling adventure.
We were away for 85 nights and spent 69 nights using the Gordigear awning with the 2.5 metre tent room and the 2.5 metre mesh room. Even though we towed our camper trailer, we found that using the tent room was a much quicker option, considering what we were doing, that is looking for quick and easy set ups for the overnight stops. We used stretchers to keep off the ground, some nights in the Territory we slept under the mesh room as it was so hot. We placed a tarp under the tent floor every night, this kept it a bit cleaner for the whole trip, especially with the red dirt/mud. We were very pleased with the Gordigear tent and mesh rooms, they suited our purpose very well.
