Customised Taiga Trailer Tent|
Hello, early this summer we went on a three weeks trip through Norway. Due to expected chilly and rainy weather conditions we made some additions to our Taiga. First an inner tent lining for a bit more comfort in the sleep compartment. In the back we made a ventilation window with mosquito netting. This can be opened with a zipper to get access to the tent's side window, the mosquito net can also be closed with a inner window shield equipped with velcro linings. For staying dry in moist weather, out of the sun, or staying out of cold wind, we added a canopy by using the zipper for the add-on room. Now our kitchen stays dry and in the shade, we can sit and eat outside in the same conditions. It’s easy to set up, using three poles and a couple of ropes. It takes only two minutes extra set-up time. The roof didn’t have to be unzipped every time you move, but can be folded on top of the tent roof and folds together with the tent. And thirdly, we fitted a pair of gas struts to the hatches underneath the bed. Now the storage in the trailer is really easy accessible. With these three additions we have made the Taiga our favourite piece of camping equipment. No matter what weather conditions, snow, rain and stormy, or hot cloudless summer days, we’re ready for it!
