Impressions from Western Australia|
Having suffered most of a Perth winter, we are heading north again. The first photos are of a camp at Milligan’s Island which is about 30km north of Jurien Bay on the way to Geraldton. The last is sunset at Kalbarri. We will do a bit of a zigzag through the Kimberley covering parts of the Gibb River Road and ending up in Kununurra. Our return journey will take us through Marble Bar, Newman and Meekatharra - places we have not visited so far. We plan another major ‘around Australia’ trip next year - something Marilyn started working on before we left home on this trip😮. We will send more photos as we go - your little tent will have covered close to 70,000 kilometres by the time we get home from this trip.
Here are some photos of our Taiga at Barn Hill Station south of Broome - Pindan soil (red) meets white sand beach meets georgeous blue ocean. 35 degree C followed by morning fog. Anotherone from the Yule River Free Camp north of Port Hedland. Unfortunately the heat in the Kimberley has beaten us and we are heading south ... slowly. Almost forgot - the view as you drive over the rise to enter the 80 Mile Beach Caravan Park. Spectacular.
