  • Special seam technology for permanent tightness

    The secret to a truly robust roof tent for demanding expeditions lies in the detailed seam technique. Since we inevitably have to pierce through the material when sewing the individual components, we use only genuine special tent yarn from the German global market leader Amann . This unique yarn consists of a cotton core with a waterproof membrane as a coating, which is precisely tailored to our tent material. When exposed to moisture, the cotton core expands, while the membrane bonds to the tent material – a natural process that ensures permanently tight seams.

  • The function of suture tape

    To save our customers the hassle of installing new tents, we equip our models with high-quality seam tape on the inside. This seal serves an important transitional function: It reliably keeps the tent watertight during the first rain showers until the special tent yarn has taken full effect. The seam tape is not designed as a permanent seal, but rather as an initial support for the natural waterproofing process. Over time, the tape may partially loosen due to the constant stress of setting up and taking down the tent, as well as due to temperature fluctuations. This is a normal process and does not affect functionality.
